It all has come down to this – on October 15 the Kotka Eagles will be facing the Minsk Zubrs to determine who will own the Baltic Sea League 2016 champion name! The League final will be taking place in Riga, Latvia and the game will also be live streamed for the fans back home! So far both teams have showed great skills and team spirit, but what happens when they must play each other? GAME SCHEDULE 2016

As the start of the season is upon us it is high time to announce the game schedule of the Baltic Sea League 2016! So here’s how it works – the four teams are aligned in two groups each consisting of two teams. Group 1 – Kotka Eagles and Riga Lions, Group 2 – Poznan Kozly and Minsk Zubrs. In the finals the teams loosing each of the two groups will compete for the 3rd place and the teams winning each of the two groups will compete for the champion title! This will be a short but entertaining season for sure!

PRESEASON WARM-UP CAMP

This past weekend the Baltic Sea League organized a preseason warm-up camp with two neighbor football teams from the Baltics – Riga Lions (Latvia) and Vilnius Iron Wolves (Lithuania). Although the Iron Wolves will not be playing this Baltic Sea League season the camp served as a great opportunity for the Lithuanian team to gain new practice experience from Latvian team and their new head coach Al Witkovski (USA) who was leading the two day training event. OFFENSIVE SKILL CAMP

On April 23 and 24 the Baltic Sea League Preseason Offensive Skill Camp took place in Riga, Latvia. The camp was led by coaches –  Matt Kessinger (USA), Shamanie Peters (USA), Teemu Kuusisto (Finland) and Nesi Niclas Carpelan (Finland). The two-day event gathered American football teams from Latvia, Lithuania and Belarus. Together with the Baltic Sea League 2015 champions Riga Lions were also two up-and-coming teams the Vitebsk Storm Riders and the Vilnius Iron Wolves. Read More
